London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1909. First edition, title page dated 1909. Illustrated with black and white plates. Faded purple cloth printed in gilt, no dustjacket. Covers heavily rubbed with heavier wear to the extremities including a chewed area at the lower right corner of the front cover, internally better with good hinges, sound text block, age-toned but clean pages with age-spotted endpapers and half-title, pages otherwise clean with only a couple of instances of very minor speckling, no names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
