About This Item
London: Charles Tilt, 1835. 192 pages, plus plates. Rebound by Whitman Bennett of New York in full Moroccan leather with raised spine bands creating six compartments. Gilt ruling and lettering, as well as five trout (?) vignettes in spine compartments. All edges are gilded. The binder has beautifully used the original covers with elaborate gilt designs, as the front paste downs. There is a little separation of the front free end page from the following fly leaf. Occasional light foxing and offsetting. Volume remains tight and very attractive. . First Edition. Full Leather. Very Good/No Dust Jacket.
