About This Item
Per the front dust jacket flap: "This is not exactly a how-to-do-it book, although it can be used as one. It is a how-they-did-it book..." "The Shakers did not believe in pointless effort; they are as well known for their labor-saving equipment as for their furniture, and they would have admired modern tools and technology."
Book - Near Fine condition. Beautiful Brown cloth over boards in pristine condition. End papers are printed with a sepia-toned map of the Eastern United States. Lots of black and white photos. Lots of measurements to describe the accompanying photo. Text is clean and binding is tight.
Dust Jacket - Very Good condition. Colors are good, spine appears to be somewhat faded. Very light edge wear on bottom EXCEPT there is a small triangular chip at bottom of spine. Top edge and corners have some wear and a few tiny tears/chips. Some obvious age tanning on the inside.
Please use photos as part of the description.
208 pages including Index.
