About This Item
New York: C.M. Saxon, 1849. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Being a Practical Treatise on Soild, Manures, Draining, Irrigation, Grasses, Grain, Roots, Fruits, Cotton, Tobacco, Sugar Cane, Rice and every staple product of the United States with the Best Methods of planting, cultivating, and preparation for market. Illustrated with more than 100 engravings. This appears to be very rare--no other copies available online that I could find. Although quite foxed throughout, much of the gold on the cover is still readable. No signs of problems with the binding. For 1849, this is in pretty good shape. The front [blank] endpaper is lost, but otherwise completely intact
