The seven chapters in this book are frm Churchill's great History of the English-Speaking Peoples. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for F/O name and reading date on the front pastedown. Book Condition: Very Good; sunfading to top of spine and top of front board near spine; light bumping to head and tail; light soiling to board bottom edges. DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped ($3.00); missing piece at head; closed tears along top edge; chipping at tail. Green cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine in a black shadowbox. Clean internals. Interior hinges are sound and not split. 145 pp 8vo. Churchill's story coming from his American background presents some of the finest chapters about the war from Fort Sumter to Appomattox. This volume presents sixty-four of the most striking photographs of the war. These photos along with Churchill's writing join to make one of the most distinguished volumes to mark the present centenary of the Civil War. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
