Board corners worn and threadbare. This book, originally published in 1909, is based on Steele's lectures in military history at the Army Service Schools at Fort Leavenworth. Chapter 27 (pp. 286-305) covers the Spanish-American War. There is also much material on colonial wars, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and the Civil War.
