WASHINGTON: UNITED STATES INFANTRY ASSOCIATION , 1931 Black Cloth boards with Gilt titles to spine, blind blocked to front. 235 x 155 mm approx. Text Vol x + 732 pp. Map Vol xii + 311 maps as called for. Dept. of Engineering Paper loosely laid in. First Published in 1909 the set offered is of the 3rd printing 1931 with original cadet owner name in ink to both paste downs and fuller in black felt tip to both paste downs : Clayton E. Mullins Cadet U.S.M.A. West Point. N.Y. 1932 ( He served with the Engineering Corps in WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star, D.S.M. and French Legion of Honor rising to the rank of Colonel). Good (Books- shelf wear to cloth- colour rubbing only, gilt to spine dulled. Previous owner name as above with very occassional marginalia to both vols, conservation repair to 5 cm approx tear top margin of one leaf to text vol- not encroaching text. Bindings sound with no other notable defects). A standard work at U.S.M.A. with a notable provenance.
