Book is in Good condition, with some bumping/rubbing to cover corners. Some sun fading to cover extremities and spine. Wear to spine ends. Small worn spots on cover boards. Small soil mark on rear cover board. Prior owner name in front endpaper. Note written in ink on title page, dated Nov 19th 1864. Some light scattered spotting in pages, and yellowing of extremities, but otherwise clean and secure.

To Which is Appended, DIES PISCATORIAE: Describing Noted Fishing-Places and the Pleasure of Solitary Fly-Fishing. Illustrated with eighty engravings on wood. Philadelphia:E. H. Butler and Co. 1864. 1st. edition. 604pp. Hardcover. External boards sun-faded where something was on top of the item. Edge points worn to boards and spine ends worn and freyed. Internally, a small bookplate centered on the inside front board but no other marks or signatures. The hinges are intact and the binding is tight. There is some light foxing scattered throughout, otherwise most pages are clean and bright. The last few pages have their corners creased. Overall, a very good copy.
