About This Item

New York: Oxford University Press, 1987. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Textual photographs. A collection of some of McPartland's best jazz articles written between 1960 and 1983, most of which first appeared in Down Beat. Widely known for her Peabody Award-winning National Public Radio series "Piano Jazz," McPartland is an accomplished pianist and composer and an indefatigable jazz educator who has performed with grace and style for more than half a century. Signed and dated in the year of publication by McPartland on the front flyleaf. Occasional mild edgewear to the boards. The dust jacket is a bit rubbed, with some light fading along the spine; otherwise a very good copy. Signed by Author.
