Scarce album of thirteen 19th Century lithographs of Vienna.
The lithographs are made after daguerreotypes, and drawings by the French artist, Nicolas-Marie-Joseph Chapuy (1790-1858) and show street scenes, important buildings, and sights of Vienna, mainly in the old town, in the area of the Hofburg (the former principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty) and at Schönbrunn (the summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty).
Titles of the lithographs as follows: 1. Innere Stadt von der Seite de Burgthors (today: Äußere Burgtor) 2. K. K. Hofburg. 3. Franzens-Platz. (Today: in der Burg) 4. Josephs-Platz. (Today: Josefsplatz) 5. Graben. (Gegen den Kohlmarkt.) 6. Am Hof. 7. St. Stephanskirche. (today: Stephansdom.) 8. Belvedere. (K. k. Gemälder-Gallerie.) 9. Schönbrunn. (Generalansicht.) 10. K. K.
