New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1958. First edition thus. Hardcover. Very good. Mugnani, Joe. Quarto. xix, (3), 230, (2)pp. Index of names. Double column text. Japan vellum spine with black lettered gold label, over gray & green patterned boards. Housed in publisher's slightly toned cardboard slipcase with gold trimmed fore-edge and black on gold spine label. Illustrated with 24 unnumbered lithograph plates and numerous woodcut headpieces. Edition limited to 1500 numbered copies (this is #1363). Signed on the limitation leaf by Joe Mugnani. One of the finest illustrated books from the stone lithographs of George C. Miller. Library donation stamp on half-title as well as several text leaves. But for those stamps, a near fine copy (priced accordingly).
