By the author of Elizabeth and Her German Garden. The author, a cousin of Katherine Mansfield, was born in Sydney, Australia. She went to live in Germany after marrying Count Henning von Arnim in 1890. There she wrote the first of several highly autobiographical novels, Elizabeth and Her German Garden (1898). Among her later works were: The Solitary Summer (1899), The Pastor's Wife (1914); The Enchanted April (1922); Love (1925); Jasmine Farm (1934); and Mr. Skeffington (1940).
