Stated First Printing of this facsimile printing of the 1907 original with new preface and introductory notes by the author. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good; small coffee splashes on the textblock fore edge; light suntoning to spine; light soiling to wraps and textblock edges; pages 71-76 are bumped on their top edges. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 130 PP 8vo. This book records the observations made by a traveler who happened to be a mining engineer about places on the globe not yet overrun by tourists. These observations are from southwestern Colorado and a progressive part of Mexico written in a "'not severely technical" manner so that with beautiful photographs, the layman will have a feeling of the conditions in these two mining regions. A clean very presentable copy.
