Original cloth-backed illustrated boards; pp. 64, [advertisements], tinted plates after photograph (tissue guards), vignettes and illustrations in the text; near-fine. First edition of this monograph on the palace of the Austrian Emperor's wife Elisabeth ('Sissi') in Gastouri on the island of Corfu. In 1907 the German Kaiser Wilhelm II purchased Achilleion and used it as a summer residence. A stunning book production.
