About This Item
London: Printed for Henry Lintot and John Osborn, 1746. Hardcover. Very good. Folio. Extracted from third edition of Churchill's Voyages, II, pp. 699-743. Bound to style with leather spine, marbled paper boards, leather lettering label, gilt.
The bottom of the last page has been remargined (margin only, no text loss) else this is a fine copy.
Father Borri was one of the earliest missionaries to China. His work is important in that he provides considerable information on the country apart from an account of missionary work.
