About This Item

London: William Rogers, 1688. Hard Cover. Very Good. Octavo. Half-title and imprimatur leaf, title [blank], i-xv (preface), 54 pp., 2 pages of ads at rear. Bound in 19th century stiff marbled boards, with paper spine; brown end papers; memorial bookplate of Northwestern University Library inside front board and Northwestern University Library blind stamp on margin of title page; "Mr. Samuel Johnson" in ink, near margin of title page, but probably not in the author's hand. Light toning to text, small chip to fore-edge of rear ad leaf. A very good copy.
