University of Durham Riddell Memorial Lectures, Fifteenth Series. Good Book/Poor Dust Jacket. First Edition. First Printing as stated. Navy blue full cloth binding with white stamped title on spine. Covers show rubbing to front and back. Soiling to front cover. Black stain to bottom edges. Edgewear with board exposure to top and bottom edges and spine ends. Chipping to head of spine. Corners are sharp. Rubbing to corners. Dust jacket is very fragile but still intact and shows significant wear: age tanning, creases, foxing, stains, and rubbing to all extremities. Small closed tears to top and bottom edges. Large chips to bottom edges, front and back turns, and corners. Large open tear to top edge of front panel. Darkening to spine. Heavy chipping and loss to spine ends. Small chip and closed tear to center of spine. Both corners of front flap are clipped but $1.25 price is visible. Top edge of textblock stained dark blue. All edges show age tanning and spots of foxing. Top edge shows heavy stain loss. Heavy foxing from dust jacket to front and rear pastedowns with offsetting to free endpapers. Previous owner's name written in pencil on front free endpaper. Hinges solid. Binding tight. Spine leans slightly to left. Pages show smudges and spots of foxing throughout. Underlining in pencil to several pages. 61 pages. 5-1/4 X 7-5/8.
