About This Item
Turtle Point Press, 1993. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This is a hardback binding of the Turtle Point paperback, in terra cotta spine with very pretty terra cotta handmarbled boards and matching endpapers. Bright gilt letters on a leather title on the spine. Very clean inside. A fine British novel about their rule in India, and an excellent read. First published in London in 1922 and it should have created quite a stir, examing the issues that would lead to Independence for India 25 years later.. Only a hint of wear at bottom of spine,.
