A good + set in 1/2 calf leather on marbled boards Leather scuffed and worn, particularly at edges, corners and spines Title labels on vols 2 & 3 are lost, as well as the volume label on vol 2 But bindings are all still sound and firm Some foxing, especially on endpapers and first few pages of each volume, but overall, text is clean and unmarked Small wormhole on lower frontis portrait Bookplates of Henry Woodcock on the front pastedown of each volume There were several notables with that name in the 1800's and so it is not certain which one owned the set
